Dr. Dietrich Lawrenz

Dr. Dietrich Lawrenz, oral surgeon in Minneapolis MN

Dr. Dietrich Lawrenz was born in Milwaukee, WI.  He has lived in Sweden, Canada, and has been in the state of Minnesota for the past ten years.  He attended college and dental school at the University of Minnesota, and graduated with High Distinction.  He completed his medical degree, internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Houston, Texas.  This included time with the University of Texas and Baylor College of Medicine.  During his residency he published several papers in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. 

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He currently holds a license in medicine and dentistry in the state of Minnesota.  His hospital affiliations include North Memorial, Minneapolis Children’s and Ridgeview.

Dr. Lawrenz’s interests include dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, and cleft lip and palate.  He is a member of the Minneapolis Children’s Cleft Lip & Palate Clinic, and provides services for these special patients.

Dr. Lawrenz has been with OMS Specialists since joining the group in 1998.  He is married, and has three boys:  Cedric, Alec and Adrian. He travels frequently due to families in Sweden and France, and enjoys golfing, cooking, and photography.
